Dirusa Rattery is now closed
I no longer have the time I think I need to spend with the rats to produce quality babies so I am closing. I may or may not reopen but for at least a year most likely more I will not be breeding rats.

Dirusa Rattery is owned and operated by me (Aimee). I've been breeding rats for over 8 years. I've had rats since I was 10 years old and started breeding when I was 13. Although my first breedings where not well informed I now do my best to keep up to date with everything ratty. I am knowledgable in genetics (actually I love genetics. It's one of my hobbies), and I just love my babies so much (how could you not there adorable).
Goals
My short term goals are to breed Merle Harley's. My long term goals are to breed healthier, longer lived rats. With a low tumor/cancer rate. Health always, always, always comes first in my breeding choices before color. That means I don't care if every baby comes out black, blue, or purple. LOL. All I want are healthy rats.
Note: Harleys(long haired) are not an extra healthy bunch unfortunately, but I am working on it. Hopefully with the long haired babies from my last litter will help spread the gene into healthier lines.I breed fancy rats for health, and temperament. I will NOT sell my rats as feeders. I usually check my email everyday (Please put rats ,available babies or something similar so I know what it's for) ,but sometimes life happens and I can't check it.
